I lived at the Marbella from 2009 to 2012 (so a while ago) and my sentiments were mixed and reflective of most of the comments here. There were workers I really liked that management ended up letting go very unceremoniously, parking was ridiculously expensive for residents, I had tons of problems with DIRECTV disconnecting my service accidentally, and the main reason I left was they wanted to increase my rent by $200 per month after renovating the lobby. However, I would say I had an overall good residency here -- high rises in Jersey City are pretty standard.

Hi Justin, Please don't pretend that you are listening the suggestions from us. I believe many people complained about the extremely terrible network. WE DON'T HAVE ANY CHOICE BUT USE THE ONLY ONE CABLE YOU ASSIGNED! WE DON'T HAVE ANY CHOICE BUT PAY MORE THAN $130 for the terrible network. It is 21st century and we must suffer outages of network when it is raining or snowing. AND NO ONE IS HELPING. I will tell everyone to avoid this terrible apartment as possible as I can.

Let's just say there's no worse apartment buildings than Marbella/marbella2 in the whole Newport area. The management of the building tries to steal your money in any crooked way they can think of. If you are one day late of paying the rent, you get $500 fine. If you move the furniture without reserving the elevator, you get $500 fine. You report any issue in your apartment, no response. They also changed the lease term on the lease. When we signed the lease we were told it's a 14 month lease (12 months and 2 months for free), but on the lease it's actually 15 months but we are partly responsible for that because we didn't ever think the leasing office will do something like this, so we signed without reading thoroughly. And this indirectly makes our monthly rent higher. And also, they charged the whole month for our last month even though the lease ends in the mid of the month. Avoid Marbella/Marbella2 in any way you can!
